Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a cost to apply?

No. It's completely free to apply and participate if selected. Audio Icon covers the production and publishing costs.

Can I submit as a group?

Yes, duos or bands are welcome. Include each member's name and role in your application so our team can prepare the right setup.

What if I'm not in Los Angeles?

Currently sessions take place in LA. Remote creators may still apply for future digital Spotlight features, we'll announce expansion dates soon.

Do I own my recordings and images?

Yes. Artists retain ownership of their music and likeness. Audio Icon receives a non-exclusive license to publish and promote the captured media with full credit.

How long until I hear back?

We review new submissions weekly. If selected, you'll receive an email from our team within 10-14 days.

Can I bring my own collaborator or manager?

Yes, one guest is allowed with advance notice. Managers, collaborators, or small teams are welcome to observe or assist.

What happens after my session?

Your story is published on the Audio Icon Spotlight page and shared across our channels. You'll receive select media files and links to your feature once live.

How often can I reapply?

If you're not selected initially, you can reapply after 90 days with updated work or new music releases.
